I spent years in-house, designing for brands like BEAUTY BAY, Regatta and The Fragrance Shop, and seeing my packaging land on the shelves in Boots and Superdrug. It taught me what makes people stop, pick something up and actually buy it.
In 2021 I went out on my own, because I wanted to give female founders that same big-brand thinking, without the big-agency price tag or the stuffiness.
Now I design brands, websites and packaging for founders all over the world, and help other designers build studios they love too.

Cap and gown era
Graduated and threw myself straight into the design world.
Fast Fashion era
As an in-house designer at In The Style, I learnt fast and juggled a lot, from their rebrand to website graphics.
My own jewellery business
Alongside my design job, I ran my own jewellery company, Jenems, with my sister!
After Bootea, I worked on loads of marketing campaigns and got my packaging into some massive retailers.
Packaging in Holland & Barrett
Working with Mmmmitchell
Whilst at Beauty Bay, I had the pleasure of working alongside MUA legend, Mitchell. We worked on the packaging for his new eye shadow palette.
The lockdown pivot
Alongside my full time job, I ran a online print business, Design By Emma! This was the start of working for myself and COVID has a lot to answer for!
Design By Emma is born
I made it official, after juggling my side hustles and full time jobs, I took the plunge and started my studio full time! I began working with female founders.
Going global
Clients in Canada, America and Mexcio all wanted to work with me on their branding, packaging and website designs.

Ive achieved so much including speaking at a Adobe event, becoming a creative market ambssador and changing the lives of so many business owners.
When I'm not on my laptop, you'll find me with my ipad, working away on procreate
Ever since I can remember I've loved all things arts and crafts and still run my online print shop
I love all animals, but dogs and cats have my heart. You'll often see Teddy, Bee and Dolly all over my socials – the best co-workers!
As much as I love my job and work, give me a mountain over a desk any day.

Yes, really double trouble since day one. She's my biggest supporter and I even had my own jewellery business with her!
